‘Braids’ Fairytale Dish

A single fairytale stoneware dish with to use for food or as a trinket dish. This is made of black clay with a white porcelain slip, hand decorated with the sgraffito method where the upper layer is scratched away to reveal a contrasting colour. The glaze is food safe and the dish can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

I love to draw on these dishes as an extension to my sketchbook. This one is inspired by Rapunzel’s long braid, which I imagined would be very satisfying arranged as a spiral.

These will come in a black velvet pouch, ready for gifting or to treat yourself.
